ABOUT

ESCGO+ was established to encourage research, communication and education in the field of medical oncology with current focus on diagnostic, prognostic and predictive oncomarkers (genetic, molecular and imaging) for oncourology.

The Group was created in 2014 on the basis of leading scientific and clinical eastern european institutions: Department of General and Molecular Pathophysiology of Bogomoletz Institute of Physiology of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in conjunction with Department of Urology and Department of Radiology of Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University of Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Subsequently (and continuously), international affiliated members from other leading scientific and clinical centers were incorporated in order to maximize extent of activity of the Group.

AIMS & SCOPE

Our mission is a continuous improvement of diagnostic and treatment standards in oncology by bringing new tumor markers into wide clinical practice.

The main directions of activity of the Group:

• Investigation of the new diagnostic, prognostic and predictive oncomarkers on international level;
• Clinical validation of the tumor markers in cooperation with other groups, centers and laboratories;
• Implementation of most sensitive tumor practice into clinical practice;
• International scientific and clinical collaboration;
• Improvement and distribution of knowledge of investigation of the tumor markers.

SUMMARY OF ACTIVITIES

• In result of ESCGO+ scientific and clinical activities a number of genetic, molecular and imaging cancer markers were investigated, accompanied by scientific publications in leading scientific journals.
• The results of investigations were presented on many major international scientific meetings.
• More than 5 national patents for the invention were registered.
• One international award for outstanding publication on tumor marker was achieved.
• Groups' geography is constantly extends.
